Practical training classes in acupuncture, moxibustion, and anma/massage/shiatsu are carried out in this tatami mat room, a flooring surface found in a surprising number of clinical settings.

Okinawan doro-ai (mud indigo) was used to finish this wall in an ancient and traditional Japanese method. The “one flower vase” made of aged bamboo is where students freely arrange flowers to express their “now.”

Hall The Hall has a large projection screen and sound equipment. This is where Toyoshinkyu holds entrance and graduation ceremonies, as well as seminars.

Clinical Facility This facility has seven treatment booths, which are all individual rooms soundproofed to emphasize privacy. This facility functions as a treatment clinic where traditional Japanese medicine (acupuncture and moxibustion) can be spread to the local community, as well as the place where students perform their clinical training practicums.

Toyoshinkyu No. 3 Building Facilities

Sorei Memorial Hall Opened to commemorate 100 years since the birth of Sorei Yanagiya and 50 years since Toyoshinkyu’s founding. There are panel displays of the 52 years of Sorei Yanagiya’s life, a life lived during a time of upheaval and punctuated by the Second World War, along with images of his comrades from the world of Showa period acupuncture and moxibustion.

The multipurpose room, with its large projection screen and sound equipment, has a maximum capacity of 100 people. Many seminars are held here, such as seminars to support people wanting to open their own acupuncture and moxibustion clinics.

There are a total of five practical training (practicum) rooms, one room floored with tatami mats and four rooms with beds. This combination allows students to be ready for any situation, regardless of the treatment environment.
